The team at Warnervale Dental are highly passionate about caring for the oral health of the local community, particularly the kiddies and have been visiting local preschools and daycares such as “Active Littlies” providing complimentary dental education sessions to kids, carers and their families.
Director of Active Littlies Child Care Centre in Warnervale, Cheryl Stokeld was delighted to have the Warnervale Dental team recently come to visit. “The kids loved it and enjoyed learning about caring for their teeth and also liked the special bags with dental goodies”. The vibrant childcare centre is highly focused on family and community involvement. “We believe that the combined contribution of families, communities, educators and children are required to build a quality curriculum for children’s optimum learning development and we warmly welcome local providers like Warnervale Dental” states Stokeld.
Warnervale Dental considers prevention of dental disease as a priority. Dr David Bassal, Warnervale Dental Practice Principal “recommends children should see a dentist by one year old or by the time their first tooth erupts (grows into the mouth)”. The team at Warnervale Dental are all about spreading the word about “the importance of establishing good oral hygiene habits early” explains Dr. Bassal. “We want children to become familiar and comfortable getting a regular dental check- up. We also provide dietary and oral hygiene advice to ensure a healthy oral environment from the start. By providing positive dental visits, we hope that children will look forward to and embrace their visits”.
